Corporate Resource and Interface Centre

HIT'S CRIC functions to ensure the best placements for the students of HIT. Corporate Resource and Interface Centre (CRIC) works round the year to make sure that all HITians get best jobs once they finish their course.

CRIC has a perfect understanding of how the corporate world works and this helps in organizing events and programs that will provide avenues to the students to get exposed to the real world of work., Debates, guest lecturers etc. are regular affairs and the students get ample opportunities to closely interact with professionals from different industries. CRIC also arranges in-house training, projects and final internships with corporate organizations so that the students may get a comprehensive industry orientation helpful in polishing their skills before they start their actual careers.

Industrial visit

To provide on the job experiences along with a feel of joy and perpetuity through various industrial visits to students, HIT organizes industrial visits in different sectors . Industry visits are an integral facet of HIT learning model. The variants of deeply institutionalized practices enable the students to gain a deeper understanding of classroom teaching and gain practical exposure in real time.

Industrial visits provide the opportunity to students to meet Hotel officials and staff at common place and gather all possible information regarding the functioning of their organization.

Industrial Training

At the end of the 4th sem of their BHM programme, all students are supposed to take up a six-month internship assignment (Industrial Training) with an Hotel or organization. This is a compulsory component of the curriculum for the completion of the programme, and is designed to provide exposure to the working of hotels.

It gives an exposure and an opportunity for experiencing the corporate environment. Simultaneously the corporate world also gets a fair idea of the talent quotient of the emerging generation of future managers at HIT. As Industrial Training Internship is for a duration of six months , it also provides an opportunity to the organizations for getting a closer assessment of the students towards final placement opportunities.

Training & Placement Cell is an integral part of the institute where the activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programs.

The HIT Training & Placement Centre provides guidance and assistance to the students for getting suitable employment in industry and institutions of their choice. Placement Cell in HIT plays a vital role and has become a key department of the institute.

Every year leading hotels conduct campus recruitments for students and for the past 18 years there has been 100% job placement record in various parts of country and the world. Students have been placed in five Star Hotels all over India, Shipping Sector, Classical Restaurants, Airlines, Railways, International Food Chains, Welfare Catering-Hostels & Hospitals, Industrial Catering Services, Off-Shore and On-Shore Catering, Hotels and Food Outlets abroad, Popular Bakery Chains, Corporate Guest Houses, Faculty in Hotel Management Institutes to name a few. This is one recession proof Industry where the student after passing out is armed with a job.
