At HIT, we believe in excellence, which originates through creativity. This philosophy drives our pedagogy and curriculum. Our alumni have proved their mettle in the tough grind of the Hotel industry. Their success could be attributed to the rigour and grit at the HIT. With emphasis given to not only the fundamentals of academics, but also all-round development of the individual, the student ,when he walks out of these doors, is no longer a student, but an executive toughened to take on the battles of the Hotel industry.

Timely Assessment

Timely Assessment provides educators with a better understanding of what students are learning and engages students more deeply in the process of learning content.

Campus-Based Learning

Campus-Based Learning uses the campus environment itself as a teaching tool

Problem Solving

Problem Solving is a class format in which professors provide a structured and guided context for students working collaboratively to solve problems.

Concept Tests

Interactive Lectures

Interactive Lectures provide short activities that can break up a lecture and engage students in activities that confront their prior understanding of a core concept.

Interdisciplinary Approaches to Teaching

Interdisciplinary Approaches to Teaching entails the use and integration of methods and analytical frameworks from more than one academic discipline to examine a theme, issue, question or topic.

Investigative Case-Based Learning

Investigative Case-Based Learning involves students in addressing real world problems

Assignments are a flexible means of demonstrating learning as well as a method of exploring one's thinking to stimulate learning, which is why the literature on writing instruction emphasizes both learning to write and writing to learn.

Case Method

Case Method combines two elements: the case itself and the discussion of that case. Teaching cases provide information, but neither analysis nor conclusions. The analytical work of explaining the relationships among events in the case, identifies options, evaluating choices and predicts the effects of actions on the work done by students during the classroom discussions.

Seminars are the integral part of the HIT. Renowned experts present their research findings in our seminars for the benefit of students.

Workshops are organized for the overall development of the students. HIT has been organizing workshop on a regular basis. This effort on the part of management of the institute has gone a long way in benefiting the students.

Team Spirit

Team Spirit sessions are conducted wherein students are grouped and assigned tasks. Through these activities, the students learn team spirit, group dynamism, organizing skills and leadership skills which they grossly require when they step in the corporate world.
